About Dementia
Dementia is an overall term used to describe symptoms that impact memory and the ability to perform daily tasks independently. These symptoms can occur when brain cells are damaged by conditions like Huntington’s disease, strokes, or infection. The most common type of dementia is Alzheimer’s syndrome.
Where symptoms often manifest as absent-mindedness, this can lead to serious accidents if the affected person does not receive support. Aligned with organisations like the Dementia Action Alliance, our carers ensure all service users are protected and safeguarded from harm.
There is no cure for dementia, but symptoms can be managed with medication alongside any care required. Our goal is to empower people with dementia to live fulfilling lives as much as possible by assisting with tasks in their own homes.
Trained Staff
All staff receive relevant training in all aspects of dementia care. Our management team consists of trained dementia champions, which means we have excellent knowledge and skills in caring for people with dementia.
Understanding the impact of dementia on the affected person and their family, we provide a person-centred approach. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our services range from sleepover and waking night care to full-time live-in care.
